The Trinity

Could The Son And The Father Be One God?

I will try to explain the Christian View of the Nature of God:

          1) Christians believe God Created the earth and Everything in it.   (Genesis 1)

 2) We believe God speaks to us through Prophets and Jesus Christ.

3) We believe Jesus was the Promised Messiah and God the Son

Now on to the Trinity...

John 1:1 - "1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

This gives us another name for God. It’s just like The Lord, God, ETC. This new name is "the Word or Logos".

In John 1:14 we are told,"14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth"

This one tells us that the "Word" or God Became flesh. Not only that he became flesh, but that his own creation did not realize who he was. The only person this could be talking about is Jesus. Jesus was the only one that had the power of God. Only God can raise people from the dead, Control Nature with authority and Perform Miracles as He did. Another part of that scripture that Jesus fullfilled was being rejeced by his own creation. Chirst was Killed by the people he created.

Ok, I know what you are thinking...this guy is trying to use reasoning to try to Prove anything about God? well...yes. A belief in God needs a little reasoning otherwise it will turn out to be like the "christian" church that made the website www.godhatesfags.com (I use much reasoning, infact I use reasoning and science for the origins of life. Those beliefs I hold are very liberal).

Ok...how about this...Jesus himself claimed to be God. In John 10:30 he says "I and the Father are one." this could mean nothing else. Or again, when Thomas calls him "my Lord and my God". Does Jesus say "No. I am not God. I am but his Son." No he doesn't. Instead Jesus says, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed".

If you say he is wrong or lying, but claim Jesus is the Christ then you are saying Scripture is not useable to create our beliefs and completely destroying the Pillar on which Christianity was built.

Even if that little article didn’t change your mind, I hope it will make you think about the nature of Christ.
